Teleportation is a technique allowing the almost instantaneous transport of objects or people from a location to another without any locomotion tool.
Generally, the technique consists to dematerialise this object, transport its image by energetic beam, then rematerialise the object when arrived at destination. Sometimes, technical way isn’t clarified.
This transport method had been imagined for the Star Trek series for financial savings, and reused in a lot of movies and series.
