Dico S.F. – Anticipation

Anticipation is a cinematic or literary genre in which the stories take place in a (relatively) near future and where the authors imagine future by extrapolating some of our society’s characteristics (militarism, overpopulation, pollution, war, terrorism…)

Exemples :

  • Stand on Zanzibar, by John Brunner
  • Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley
  • Hot Sky at Midnight, by Robert Silverberg
  • Soylent Green, by Richard Fleisher
