- Interplanetary vessel: conceived to move between two planets belonging to a same stellar system (the current technology would allow the construction of such vessels).
- Interstellar vessel: designed to move between stars belonging to a same galaxy.
- Intergalactic vessel: designed to move between two galaxies.
